Welcome to the first boutique cold-slab gelateria in Singapore. Launched in January 2007 at Crown Centre in Bukit Timah, Swirl focuses its passion on delivering the best gelato and frozen desserts to the highly-discerning customer, even if they come in junior sizes (the customer, not the dessert). Our love affair with gelato began when we realized gelato always makes one happy. No one in the right mind will cry over frozen milk. So we decided to put our hearts where the freezer was, and to came up with the best tasting gelato that can put people in a swirling frenzy, and hopefully create a little bit of heaven on earth for us all. At Swirl, we design our gelato for the customers, and if desired, let the customers design their dessert for themselves. And so, we added the concept of cold stone mixing to gelato and customers can pick any of the 18 flavours of premium freshly-made gelato available daily, and design their own blend from a choice of 40 different toppings ranging from premium nuts, chocolates, and candy to fruit and sauces. Imagine swirls of freshly made gelato being expertly mixed with your favourite roasted almonds and chocolate bars on a cold granite slab. Then the server scoops the entire blend into a cup and tops it off with your choice of caramel, fudge or wild berries. Not sure which toppings go well with which gelato? Swirl also has 10 special customized blends that cater to different tastes and obsessions. An all-time favourite is Ban & Berries – vanilla bean gelato mixed with crunchy almonds, caramelized bananas, and fresh strawberries. Chocolate Craze is a must-try for chocolate lovers, blending a dark chocolate gelato with chocolate bars, cookies and chocolate fudge. We also recommend the popular Choco-Nut Crunch, which our own staff can’t get enough of – a complementary fusion of chocolate, nuts and peanut butter. We believe nothing is impossible at Swirl. We have even worked on original ideas given by our customers and come up with bold flavours such as Lavender-Honey, Almond Lychee, and Earl Grey-Mint, many of which have become some of our bestsellers. The conviction in continuous research and innovation produces new flavours each week, and Swirl has developed over 60 different flavours with more in the pipeline.
